About Us
Peoples Development Society (PDS NGO) is a Govt. registered organization situated in Imphal, Manipur founded in 2008 with the passion to help and serve the deprived and disadvantaged people of urban slums and in rural areas of Imphal. Our organization has been working for the overall social-economic-educational development among the rural areas of Manipur. The key target groups are Dalits (the so-called untouchables or lowest caste group), children, child laborers, disadvantaged youth, rural women and unorganized rural laborers.
The main motto of our organization is removing illness and illiteracy through mobile health services & improving knowledge and creating awareness among the local people. Besides providing quick treatment to the slums, we try to empower poor and distressed women of the rural areas and also work on other awareness programs. We try to involve the residents and the local administration in our programs for better results.

PROGRAM OF DAY-NULM
Promotion and strengthening of women collectives in the form of Self Help Group (SHG) is the basic platform of PDS
EShakti PROJECT
Bringing the SHGs in one platform is the main ideology of EShakti NABARD and selected Imphal East district for digitization of SHGs
BASE LEVEL ORIENTATION TRAINING
Peoples Development Society has arranged a Base level training program for the farmers of the Imphal and surrounding areas. The aim of this training is to update the farmers

World Environment Day
On 5th June, we celebrate Environment Day with our local people where some villagers attended this program. During this period,
Independence Day Program
72nd Independence day was celebrated by students and parents in PDS; many villagers also took part in this program.
Annual Function
Peoples Development Society celebrated its annual function with a tremendous celebration including a series of cultural programs.

MICRO ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Under the sponsorship of NABARD, 13-Days MEDP on focusing to groom entrepreneurs from the SHG group members
CLASSICAL SILAI SCHOOL TRAINING
Usha International Ltd arranged the Classical Silai School where 10 women are selected and gave 7 days master class training in district
Self Help Group Promoting Institute
PDS as an SHPI since 2013 started from Chandel and Ukhrul District of Manipur with only 10 SHGs. Till now from SHPI project we had formed SHGs from Manipur
Secretary’s Message
Today, Peoples Development Society is in the threshold of the future, having arrived at the 12 years in social action. As the whole world has reached the 21st century, the PDS is indeed concerned about the changing world scenario, which has deepened the divisive wedge between haves and have-nots. The organization is committed to bringing about a change in society in favor of the unrecognized soiled faced poor and downtrodden people.
We hope and believe that we will get the same encouragement and support in near future.
