Peoples Development Society
Peoples Development Society (PDS NGO) is a Govt. registered organization situated in Imphal, Manipur founded in 2008 with the passion to help and serve the deprived and disadvantaged people of urban slums and in rural areas of Imphal. Our organization has been working for the overall social-economic-educational development among the rural areas of Manipur. The key target groups are Dalits (the so-called untouchables or lowest caste group), children, child laborers, disadvantaged youth, rural women and unorganized rural laborers.
The main motto of our organization is removing illness and illiteracy through mobile health services & improving knowledge and creating awareness among the local people. Besides providing quick treatment to the slums, we try to empower poor and distressed women of the rural areas and also work on other awareness programs. We try to involve the residents and the local administration in our programs for better results.
Peoples Development Society is Registered with the Registrar of Societies and the type of NGO is Registered Societies (Non-Government) bearing the Manipur Societies Registration Act 1989 and the Registration Number is 205/SR(IE)/2008. Our society is also registered with 12A and the registration no. is OC-1090/12A/CIT/JRT/2010-11/6421-23 dated 22/02/2011. The city and state of registration are Imphal and Manipur. The date of registration is 19/09/2008. Our Unique Id of VO/NGO is MN/2017/0158431.

Mission
Working togetherness for social, economic development to the target societies through strengthening their capacity and implementation of the programs and humanitarian and protection interventions with participatory approach to all levels of community to defeat poverty, ignorance and reach prosperity with stability and protective environment.

To actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities in which we operate and to be an organization that continually responds to the changing social realities through the development and application of knowledge, towards the development of a sustainable society that promotes and protects the equality, social justice and Human Rights for all.
Objective
We are researching and developing innovative solutions to the problems of urban people. We take care of the matter that programs must meet our benchmark of Quality & Beneficiary satisfaction. This goal will be measured according to the participation and reported benefits of practitioners’ involvement in mutual learning, exchange, training, and capacity building activities.
