World Environment Day
On 5th June, we celebrate Environment Day with our local people where some villagers attended this program. During this period, as Summer Vacation was going on, some upper class students also attended this program. All people and children went to the nearby farmhouses to dig land and plant saplings & seeds. That day, we decided that we should live in a pollution free area and must keep World free of pollution. There were 50 saplings planted in the ground. In this program, our President took part and discussed the importance of plants and prevention of burning plastic and rubber tyres.
Art & Craft Exhibition
PDS was abuzz with excitement and fervour on 15th August as it was the day of their Art & Craft Exhibition. The objective of the exhibition is to bring forth the innate skills and hone the creative genius of the kids. It provided the right platform for the primary wing students to display the varied and beautiful articles prepared by them throughout this academic year. There were corners in the exhibition attributed to art, jewellery, painting, best out of waste, paper machines, paper lanterns, and many more.
Annual Function
Peoples Development Society celebrated its annual function with a tremendous celebration including a series of cultural programs. The function began with the inauguration of the newly renovated library by the Secretary. Various items presented with different colors of life through magnificent sequences of audio-visual delight. The items include dramas, dance dramas, musical representations and dance. Alongside these outstanding creative presentations, our Secretary presented the young & talented kids and shared with the audience the information about various fronts at which the school has performed remarkably well over the session. At last
the prize distribution ceremony was held to acknowledge the achievement of the outstanding students who performed well enough to arise as toppers in various competitions held at state, district and inter-school levels.
Independence Day Program
72nd Independence day was celebrated by students and parents in PDS; many villagers also took part in this program. Our Secretary hoisted the National Flag and all the kids performed some cultural programs. The kids showcase their talent and creativity through painting the plain canvas. The students were given different topics on which they showed their talents. Chocolate, biscuits, sweets and snacks were distributed among these children and local people. At last, our President addressed our national program and thanked the members for this program.
